Prathyasa Bhavan

Prathyasa Bhavan is a de-adiction center under Alcoholic Anonymous, at Mylacompu near Thodupuzha. Here we have started the programs of Green Day Movement with an awareness program on 11-12-2011. Here we have adopted many ideas like waste management, reduce usage of plastic, tree planting etc. We are planning to conduct more awareness programs.

Mother And Child Foundation

Mother and Child Foundation is the first community which adopt the ideas of Green Day Movement. All the members of this institution actively participating in the programs. We have started many projects here in connection with the Green Day Movement. Some of them mentioned here
1.Anti plastic and waste management program
We have set different waste bins for different types of waste like plastic, paper, bio waste ect. We are collecting all wastes except bio waste and send it to the corresponding recycling centers. Also we are reducing the usage of plastic.
2. Production of cotton carry bags
As a second part of the above project, we have started a cotton carry bag production unit, with the help of Thodupuzha Municipality.
3.Planting Trees
We have planted more than 50 trees in the surroundings of our institution.
4."Thodupuzhaye thanalaniyikkal"
We are participating "Thodupuzhaye thanalaniyikkal" program, a project undertaken by Municipality of Thodupuzha and supported by different NGOs, Schools, Colleges. This is aprogram for planting trees in roadside.
5.Green Library
We have started a green library in our institute to aware the people about environmental issues and to set a soft corner for the nature in them.
